About 2.50pm on the 23rd of February 2012 police and the fire service were called to a house fire at Tolosa Street in Glenorchy.  On arrival the house was well alight.  The fire was extinguished with extensive damage caused to the rear of the residence.

Fire investigators, Detectives from Glenorchy CIB and police Forensic Services all attended the scene and an investigation into the cause is being conducted.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage and investigations are continuing.

Damage is estimated to be in excess of $100,000.
