Just prior to 3am on Sunday 3^rd July 2016, Police Tasmania Fire Services were alerted to a structure fire at a residence in Fort Street Riverside.

The fire was extinguished, however has been extensively damaged.

This afternoon the remains of a person was located within the premises.

Investigations are continuing into the cause of the fire.
