At 9:34pm Wednesday 21 October 2015 Tasmania Fire Service were notified of a house fire at 17 Boobyalla Street, Primrose Sands. Local fire units from Dunalley, Primrose Sands and Dodges Ferry attended, as well as police from Sorell and Dunalley.

On arrival Police and fire units found the dwelling, a vertical board holiday shack, was well alight.The structure was substantially damaged by

fire prior to being extinguished. It was determined the residence was unoccupied at the time of the fire, there was minor damage to a neighbouring property. The estimated value of the damage to the dwelling is $200,000.

At this time there has been no determination as to the cause of the fire.
