Hobart Detectives have charged a 53 year old Glenorchy man with a number of house burglaries committed in Hobart suburbs over the past three months.

As a result of an on-going police operation, the man was caught in the act of burglary at a house in West Moonah on Tuesday morning.

Following further investigations and interviews, the man was charged with 31 counts of Burglary and Stealing which relate to houses situated at Moonah, West Hobart, Mount Stuart, Taroona, Lutana and the Eastern Shore.

The man was bailed to appear in the Hobart Magistrate’s Court on 17 December 2010.
