Hobart CIB detectives are investigating an incident where a man unlawfully entered a home in Wellwood Street, Lenah Valley in the early hours of Tuesday morning 5 March 2013.

The man was confronted by the female occupant of the house and fled.

It is apparent that the man entered the home through an unlocked door.

Incidents where homes are entered whilst the residents are at home are uncommon, but it is a timely reminder that homes should be checked to ensure that they are secure prior to leaving the house or retiring to bed.
