In the last seven days there has been a marked increase in the amount of home burglaries occurring in the Old Beach area.  These burglaries have been committed during daylight hours and electrical items seem to have been targeted.

On some occasions the offenders have been known to knock on the front door to ascertain if there is anybody home, before gaining entry to the residence.

Police are asking for assistance from the public in reporting any suspicious persons or vehicles seen in the Old Beach area, particularly taking note of any persons knocking on doors without valid reason.  Information can be reported to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or direct to the Bridgewater CIB on 62684103.
