Hit and Run information sought
Police are seeking information in relation to a hit and run crash that occurred on Monday 5 May 2014 at 3:20pm on Cooper Street, Glenorchy.
The incident involved a 12 year old boy who was riding his bicycle along Cooper Street. A vehicle collided with the child on his bicycle at the rear of the cinemas on Cooper Street causing him to fall. The vehicle failed to stop, leaving the scene prior to police arriving.
The child was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital where he was treated for lacerations; he was not admitted to hospital.
Police are seeking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who may have information in relation to the vehicle or driver involved. The vehicle is described as a black Subaru Forester wagon or similar.
