High speed P plater
Provisional driver’s car clamped following high speed detection.
A 29 year old man from Kings Meadows was intercepted during routine speed checks on the Bass Highway at 9am on Wednesday morning travelling at 175km/h.
The man was also given an oral fluid test which returned a positive result for THC (Cannabis) and Methamphetamine.
The vehicle, a Nissan coupe, was immediately clamped for 90days due to the speed at which it was detected travelling. Further investigations have determined the vehicle is unregistered, uninsured and the driver is a provisional P1 license holder who was not displaying his “P” plates at the time of interception. In addition the vehicle was also displaying false registration plates.
