High Range Drink Driver – Scamander
A 60-year-old man from NSW has been charged this morning with high range drink driving after police received information from members of the public.
Police attended the scene on Scamander Avenue, Scamander and took the man into custody. A breath analysis returned a breath alcohol reading of 0.246, almost five times the legal limit.
The man was charged with high range drink driving and was immediately disqualified from driving for 24 months. He was held in custody for court, and was subsequently remanded in custody by the court to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Wednesday 27th September.
