At 14.02 hours Wednesday the 27th April 2016, Police were advised of a minor crash on Black Hills Road, Whitemore.

Northern RPOS officers attended and found the driver and sole occupant behind the wheel of a vehicle that had drifted off the road and lightly grazed a power pole. The driver was uninjured.

The driver was conveyed to Deloraine Station for breath analysis, and returned a reading of 0.347 grams of alcohol per 210 litres of breath, almost 7 times the legal limit.

He was immediately disqualified from driving for 12 months and will face court in June.
