Herdsmans Cove incident
Detectives from the Eastern District Criminal Investigation Branch are conducting enquiries in relation to an incident that occurred at approximately 6:24pm on Sunday 21 August 2011.
Police attended an incident that occurred on Ramsay Place and Fisher Drive, Herdsmans Cove. A Toyota sedan was driven for a distance of about 400 metres with a male on the bonnet. The male fell onto the roadway in Fisher Drive and was run over. A second vehicle, a Nissan, was involved in a collision during this incident.
The injured person is in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
All persons involved in this matter are known to each other. Two people have been arrested and charged by investigators and will appear in court at a later date. The driver of the Toyota was charged with causing Grevious Bodily Harm, and the driver of the second vehicle was charged with Unlawfully Injuring Property.
Investigators are seeking assistance from the public who may have seen the incident or heard the conversations/yelling that occurred at the time.
