At 4:50pm on Sunday 2/4/17 Tasmania Police Search and Rescue were notified of an injured fisherman on a Huon Aquiculture vessel the Ronja Huon which was moored in Storm Bay.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to the area where a flight paramedic and police rescue crewman were winched to the vessel.

A 33 year old man from Garden Island Creek was treated for serious hand injuries before being winched from the vessel and flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital.
