On Wednesday, 8 January 2014 the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to attend the Western Arthurs for an injured walker.

The helicopter flew to the base of the Western Arthurs where they located a 50 year old female from Victoria with a leg injury.

The female was flown from the area to Hobart in a stable condition.
