On Monday 13 January 2014, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to attend Mt Prospect near Lake Lea. 

Police had received information that a walker had been bitten by a snake. 

A land party was also tasked to attend to this incident.

The helicopter flew to the area and treated the German tourist at the scene. 

He was transported to Cradle Valley in a satisfactory condition.
