At 3:00pm on Saturday 7/9/16 the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to Triabunna due to a 14 year old boy suffering burns from molten lead. The boy had been making lead fishing sinkers at the time when the lead exploded on his face and upper body. He was flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital in a stable condition.
