At 12:00pm on Thursday 16/1/14 Ambulance Tasmania activated the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to attend Swansea due to a 56 year old Turners Beach man suffering cardiac arrest.

The helicopter landed at the local football ground assisted by local police.

The man was stabilised on scene by Swansea doctors then flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital whilst receiving further treatment during the fight from Intensive Care Paramedics and a Police Rescue Crewman.

The man is still in a serious condition.
