At 3:00pm on Tuesday 28/1/14 the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was activated due to an Alice Springs man who was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash.

The crash had occurred on the Lyell Highway near Cardigan Bridge and the man had been conveyed to the Lake St. Clair visitor’s centre where the helicopter landed.

The helicopter then conveyed him to the Royal Hobart Hospital.
