Tasmania Police have apprehended the escapee from the Hayes Prison Farm.  The apprehension occurred at New Norfolk at approximately 2pm today.

He was located in a public place in New Norfolk.  He will be returned to the Risdon Prison Complex.

Investigators from the Eastern District Criminal Investigation Branch would like to thank the media and members of the public, who provided information that assisted in the apprehension.
