A gun was discharged outside a house last night just after 7.00 pm in Ashburton Road, Gagebrook.  There is no apparent damage to the house although the occupants of the house are known to police.  It is thought the offender, who was not seen by witnesses, left in a small dark coloured car.

A woman living at the house reported the shots.  Investigations by Bridgewater CIB detectives are continuing.

Detective Inspector Joel said: ‘There is no obvious evidence that this shooting and the Claremont robbery are connected, but police have not closed their minds to this’.
