Glenorchy crash

On Thursday 17th November 2011 at 5:30pm police attended a three vehicle accident at the intersection of Barossa Road and Nagle Place, Glenorchy.

Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Ambulance attended the scene.

The road was fully blocked as a result of the accident and was opened approximately one and a half hours later.  Traffic was required to be diverted.

Each of the vehicles involved contained one driver.  One of the persons involved was freed from her vehicle by emergency personnel and was expected to remain in hospital overnight with non life threatening injuries. The other parties involved sustained minor injuries but were conveyed to hospital by ambulance.  

Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing and police would like information from any persons who witnessed the incident by contacting Constable M BURLEIGH at Glenorchy Police Station on 6230 2777.
