Launceston detectives have charged a 31 year old female from Launceston with the armed robbery upon a taxi driver in Invermay from the 12^th November 2011. This is the second person charged in as many days in relation to this matter.

The taxi driver received minor injuries when he was allegedly assaulted and threatened with a sledge hammer.

The female is due to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Courtat a later date charged with aggravated armed robbery.
