Fourth Person charged over Bagdad Murder

Eastern District CIB Detectives have today arrested and charged a fourth person in relation to the murder of Bagdad man Brendon Marriott.

A 16 year old male from Launceston was arrested this morning by Detectives from the Taskforce investigating the murder.  He was charged with being an accessory after the fact of murder and unlawful trafficking in firearms.

The youth was bailed to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court at a later date.

The Investigator in charge of the taskforce, Detective Senior Sergeant Cameron Bessell said “Given the nature of the investigation and the information police have received, it is likely further arrests could occur in relation to the murder.”
