A 23-year-old man from northern Tasmania is due to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court tomorrow, to answer the following charges:

• Return to Licensed premises x 2

• Offensive language in public place

• Fail to leave licensed premises when required by licensee

• Common assault x 3

The offences are alleged to have been committed in October 2021, when the man was a Constable with Tasmania Police. He was off duty at the time and has since resigned his position.

It is not appropriate to make any further comment given the matters are now before the court.
