Launceston Detectives from the Fraud & e-Crime Section have interviewed and charged a 32 year old man from the George Town area with the theft of approximately $28000 in cash.

It is alleged that he was an employee of a local business and that over a period of several months in 2011 he created false documentation and stole the cash.

The man will be summoned to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court facing 35 charges of forgery and stealing.
