Firearms incident at Norwood

FIREARMS INCIDENT AT BROOKDALE STREET, NORWOOD

In the early hours of last Friday morning, residents of Brookdale Street, Norwood reported hearing a number of shots being fired.  Police arrived a short time later but were unable to establish if in fact any shots had been fired.

On Saturday 26 April a resident of Brookdale Street reported to Police that he had discovered 5 bullet holes in the side of his work vehicle.  As a result Police re-attended the scene with Forensics and conducted an examination of the vehicle and immediate area.

Launceston CIB are currently following a number of avenues of enquiry.

This incident is not related to any alleged ongoing criminal activity nor is it related to any previous firearm crime incidents in Launceston.
