Firearm Robbery Launceston

At about 5am of the 16th April 2013 unknown offenders have entered a Firearm Sales and Services premises on Invermay Road, Invermay.  Entry was gained and three rifles were stolen. Police were alerted to the incident by a witness and promptly attended the premises.

A subsequent search by police failed to locate any offenders. Police located one rifle at the rear of the premises, however two are still outstanding.

Forensic Services attended the scene and conducted an extensive examination. Detectives from Launceston CDI are currently investigating the matter.

The outstanding rifles include a Howa 223 with Olivon Scope and a Remington 257 with a Leopold VX3 scope.
