At about 10:30pm on Saturday the 3^rd September 2016, a number of shots were discharged from firearms into a home in Gordon Street, Invermay.

At the time of the incident, no one was home.

Members from Launceston CIB, Launceston Uniform and Northern Forensic Services attended Gordon Street and an investigation commenced.

‘It is believed that the home fired upon was targeted and that this was not a random act,’ Senior Constable Hayes said.

Police would like to speak to anyone that has information about the incident, in particular any information about a small silver car seen leaving Dry Street around the time of the incident.
