At 9:14pm on Thursday 31st March 2011, Police and Tasmania Fire Service were called to attend La Bella Pizza at Burnett Street in New Norfolk.

Tasmania Fire Service subsequently attended and assisted in extinguishing the fire.  The business was unattended at the time and smoke could be seen coming from the roof with no flames.

The fire is being treated as suspicious at this time as the building was unoccupied and has previously been damaged by fire.  Initial examinations of the fire scene could not reveal the estimated cost of damage. 

This fire will be investigated by Eastern District CIB.
