At 04.30am on Tuesday 23^rd October, Police and the Tasmania Fire Service attended the Hobart Pathology Building, Sandy Bay, in relation to a fire which was contained to a storage room.

Police cordoned the immediate area to provide safety to the public and manage emergency services.

No persons were injured as a result of the fire. No other property was damaged.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.

Damage is estimated to be approximately $20,000.

Members of the public are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers with any information that may assist police.
