Fatality name released
Tasmania Police have released the name of the driver who was killed in a two vehicle collision on the Bass Highway at Montumana yesterday.
She was 32 year old Rachelle Marshall of Bass Highway, Rocky Cape.
Ms Marshall was killed when the blue 2000 Subaru Impreza sedan she was driving crossed into the on-coming lane and collided with a west bound Toyota Landcruiser 4wd flat tray.
The driver of the Toyota, a 42 year old Burnie man was discharged from hospital.
Investigations into the cause of the collision remain on-going and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

- Please be advised that there will be interruptions to normal traffic operations at the scene of this week’s fatal accident on the Bass Highway, Sisters Hill between 1pm and 3pm, 24 August 2011 (tomorrow). This interruption will enable specialist examination of the scene by members of Crash Investigation Services.
- Motorists are advised that one lane of traffic will be open at all times but that there may be delays. Motorists are requested to avoid the area or travel at a different time should they wish to avoid this disruption. The area concerned is approximately 500 metres east of Montumana Road, Sisters Hills.
