At approximately 7.55pm on Friday the 26^th of January, 2018, Police attended a two vehicle crash on Grass Tree Hill Road.  The crash involved a white Honda CRV and a black Yamaha motorcycle.

At the time of the crash the Honda was being driven in a general easterly direction toward Richmond.  A 53 year old female from Rose Bay was driving the vehicle.  There were two passengers, a 53 year old male from Rose Bay and an 81 year old female from Geilston Bay.  The driver and passengers were not physically injured as a result of the collision.  The driver was treated for shock.

The rider of the motor cycle was a 23 year old man from West Hobart.  The rider was treated at the scene by Police and Ambulance Personnel but unfortunately he died at the scene.

The motor cycle was travelling toward Risdon Vale.  The collision has occurred in the east bound lane.

Police would like to speak to any witnesses who may have seen either vehicle in the area prior to the collision.
