Just after 12 o’clock today, 7 November 2014, police were called to a rural property at Scotts Road, Geeveston, to respond to an incident involving a tractor.

A 49 year old man had been towing a slasher behind a tractor on the property. He lost control and was pinned beneath the tractor.

He died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

Police and ambulance were called to the scene by a neighbour, who had noticed the tractor had been running for some time and went to investigate.

A report is being prepared for the Coroner.
