Fatal pedestrian crash – South Arm Highway, Mornington

Approximately 11.30pm on Friday 8 July, 2016 a 43 year old man from Risdon Vale was walking in a southerly direction on the South Arm Highway Howrah .  The male pedestrian was struck by a south bound Mitsubishi Pajero.  As a result of the crash the male pedestrian was killed instantly.

 

The Pajero was being driven by a 51 year old female from Tranmere.  The female driver left the scene and presented to the Bellerive Police Station later in the evening.  The female driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and was not injured during the collision.

 

Police would like to speak to any person who may have seen the Mitsubishi or the pedestrian at the time of the collision or prior.
