Around 5:20 pm on Thursday 7 April 2022 police attended a motorbike crash on Osprey Road, Claremont.

Upon arrival the 33 year old male rider from Claremont was unfortunately pronouced deceased, despite life saving efforts from members of the public and Ambulance Tasmania.

Police closed off the area to allow for a Forensics examination of the scene and a report is being prepared for the coroner.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation, but there is no suggestion that any other vehicle or persons were involved.
