A 58 year old man from Old Beach has died and a 17 year old female injured after a single vehicle motor cycle crash on the Brooker Highway at Claremont on Saturday the 7th day of December 2013 at 4:10pm.

The motor cycle was travelling North on the Brooker Highway when the crash occurred approximately 200 metres south of the Claremont Link Road off ramp, the motor cycle had earlier taken part in the annual Toy Run event.

The injured passenger from the motor cycle was conveyed to the Royal Hobart Hospital by road Ambulance where her condition is described as stable.

The crash is being investigated by Senior Constable Ann EDGE of Crash Investigation Services and she would like to hear from any member of the public who may have witnessed the crash or seen the motor cycle travelling along the highway beforehand.
