The deceased’s partner became concerned for the woman’s welfare when she hadn’t arrived at their Orford residence by 6.30pm. He (the partner) drove the Tasman Highway between Orford and Sorell looking for her.
H ethen attended the Sorell Police station and reported a concern for her welfare. Police made numerous enquiries and also searched the highway between Sorell and Orford. They were unable to locate the woman.
