At around 12.30am this morning emergency services were alerted to a single vehicle crash which has occurred in the main street of Zeehan, on the West Coast.  A white 2018 Toyota Landcruiser has left the road and collided with a brick wall.

Emergency Services responded and found a male person deceased, believed to be the sole occupant.  He is believed to be a local Zeehan resident.  Police have identified  that speed has been a contributing factor in this tragic crash.

Police say, “this is another avoidable tragedy and Police are pleading for the motoring public to consider the ramifications of reckless driving behaviour on our roads.”

Western Crash Investigation Services are investigation the circumstances surrounding the crash and will prepare a report for the Coroner.  Any person who had seen the white 2018 Toyota Landcruiser travelling in the Zeehan area in the hours prior to the crash are asked to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
