Fatal crash East Bagdad Road, Bagdad
A 61 year old Bagdad man died as the result of a single vehicle crash on East Bagdad Road, Bagdad at approximately 1.45pm on Sunday the 23rdday of December 2012.
At that time the deceased was driving a grey Ford Courier utility east bound along East Bagdad Road. Approximately 2.5 kilometres east of the Midland Highway the utility has veered onto the incorrect side of the road. It has gone into a table drain, along an embankment and came to rest on its passenger side.
The deceased, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.
Excessive speed was not a factor in the crash. The reason as to why the utility veered onto the incorrect side of the road is not yet known. Investigations into whether the deceased suffered some form of medical event immediately prior to the crash will be made.
The investigating officer, Constable Angela LANG, would like to hear from any member of the public who may have witnessed the crash or seen the vehicle prior to the incident.
