Sadly, a woman has died following a crash at Exeter yesterday evening.

Police and emergency services were called to the scene about 7:40pm.

Initial inquiries indicate the woman was travelling south on the West Tamar Highway in a blue Honda Accord sedan when a black Dodge Ram utility travelling north crossed to the incorrect side of the road, colliding head on with Honda.

The black Dodge Ram utility was being driven by a man who had two children as passengers.

The three occupants of the Dodge Ram were conveyed to the Launceston General Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing and will be conducted by Northern Crash Investigation Services.

Anyone with information or relevant dash cam footage, is asked to contact police on 131 444.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
