A 19 year old female from Howrah has died following a single vehicle crash on Penna Road at Penna at approximately 11.20pm on Friday 22 April 2011.

The crash occurred when a silver coloured Nissan Skyline sedan travelling in a westerly direction towards Sorell struck a tree on the verge on the southern side of the road.

The deceased female was the driver of the vehicle.  The front seat passenger, a 17 year old female from Midway Point was not seriously injured.

Penna Road was closed for approximately three (3) hours whilst investigations into the crash were carried out.

The crash investigator, Sergeant Rod Carrick, would like to hear from any member of the public who may have witnessed the crash or seen the vehicle immediately prior to the incident.
