On Friday 16th July 2010 at 3:25 pm a fatal crash occurred on Prossers Road about 5.3km from Lilydale Road near Rocherlea.

A white 2008 Holden Colorado utility, being driven by an 18 year old man from the local area, has been travelling south and driven off the eastern side of the road and crashed into a tree on the roadway edge. The driver died at the scene as a result of the impact and was the only occupant of the vehicle. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Numerous emergency personnel attended the scene and the road was blocked for four hours.
