At approximately 11.35am on 4th June, Queenstown police were notified of a motor vehicle (single vehicle) accident on the Anthony Link Road.  Police from Rosebery, Queenstown and Zeehan attended the scene. The sole occupant of the vehicle (a male aged 74years from Queenstown) was found to be deceased.

Prior to the accident, the vehicle a  silver 2006 Hyundai 4WD, had been travelling on a straight section of road in a southerly direction just past Lake Plimsol before it left the road and travelled some 20 metres along an embankment before coming to rest upside down in a ditch.

The road was closed for over 3 hours whilst the scene was investigated and the vehicle recovered.
