At 4:58pm on Saturday 23 November 2019, police received information that a female was trapped as a result of an ATV rollover on a private farm on Main Road, Stanley.

Upon police arrival it was identified that a 56 year old female who was riding the ATV was conducting farm duties on uneven terrain when the ATV has rolled and trapped her underneath.

Members of the public have observed the rolled ATV and contacted emergency services and commenced CPR prior to ambulance arrival, at which time the female was declared deceased.

The incident is currently being investigated by Western Crash Investigation Services and WorkSafe Tasmania and a report is being prepared for the Coroner.

Initial indications appear this is a tragic accident and Tasmania Police wish to express their sincere condolences to the family.
