Facebook clues lead to arrest
A Derby man faces 30 charges after he was reported for attempting to sell stolen property through Facebook.
The 25 year old from Derby had offered to trade items through Facebook. Police were advised of the possible transaction.
Glenorchy CIB arrested the 25 year old Derby man when he arrived at an address to complete the trade.
He was charged with numerous offences; motor vehicle stealing x4, burglary x8, stealing x6 and a number of other offences that occurred state-wide.
He will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court today.
Police would like to warn people to be cautious if they are offered goods for sale or trade via social media.
