Hobart Detectives have today extradited a 28 year old male from the Melbourne suburb of East Brighton.

He has been arrested on charges of Dishonestly Acquiring a Financial Advantage by altering odometer readings on motor vehicles which were sold in Tasmania between January 2008 and July 2009. It’s alleged five vehicles in all were sold at auction with an unlawful financial advantage of around $40,000.

The male has been detained to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court this afternoon.
