On 17 September 2012 detectives from the Launceston Criminal Investigation murder taskforce extradited a 54 year old man from Melbourne for conspiracy to murder Angela Maree Hallam.

Detective Acting Inspector Higgins says that this is part of the ongoing investigation into the murders of Angela Maree Hallam and Joshua Eric Newman at Ravenswood on 15 August 2012.

Detective Acting Inspector Higgins said that this arrest is a critical stage in the murder investigation and that this man is now assisting the taskforce with their enquiries into the two murders.

This male will appear in the Launceston Court of Petty Sessions at 11.30am today.

Tasmania Police are still appealing for anyone with any information in relation to the murders to call 131444 or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
