Detectives from the Hobart Criminal Investigation today extradited a 28 year old New Town man from Queensland to Hobart. The man was arrested in a northern suburb of Brisbane for alleged offences relating to the production and possession of Child Exploitation Material committed in Tasmania earlier this year.

The man will appear later today in the Hobart Magistrates Court.

The charges have been laid as a result of an ongoing investigation into the man's involvement in these offences.  It will be alleged that he became aware of the investigation prior to him leaving the state and travelling to Queensland.
