In the early hours of this morning a total of 28 panes of glass were smashed in shelters at the Rosny Bus Mall.

Police on duty at the nearby Bellerive Police Station heard the noise and after a short foot chase apprehended a male youth.

A 16 year old Blackmans Bay youth has been charged with causing this damage and has been bailed to appear in the Hobart Youth Justice Court at a later date.

The estimated cost of the damage to repair is thought to be approximately $10,000.
