Elderly man dies following mobility scooter crash
Sadly a 73-year-old Beaconsfield man has died from injuries he sustained after he crashed his mobility scooter into a parked car on Bolton Street in Beaconsfield last weekend.
Following the crash around 10.20am last Sunday, the man was transported by Ambulance to the Launceston General Hospital with serious head injuries.
Sadly the man passed away on Wednesday as a result of his injuries.
As part of their investigation, police are asking for anyone who witnessed the crash, or the man riding his silver mobility scooter around the time of the crash, to contact 1/C Constable Housego at Northern Crash Investigation Services on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000 or online at crimestopperstas.com.au
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
