Drugs, firearms seized during targeted Shorewell Park search

Two men will face court over multiple drug and firearm-related offences after a targeted search at a private residence in Shorewell Park this week.

Members of Western Drug and Firearms Unit along with the Dog Handler Unit searched the property on Tuesday, seizing quantities of ice, cannabis, and cash believed to be proceeds of crime.

Police also seized a replica revolver, and a pistol-shaped gel blaster.

A 44-year-old year old Shorewell Park man has been charged with drug trafficking, as well as several other drug and firearm-related offences.

He was bailed to appear in the Burnie Magistrates Court on 23 July.

A 27-year-old Round Hill man will be proceeded against by summons for multiple drug-related offences.
